Iraq: Immigration Minister oversees the return of 52 displaced Yazidi families to their places of origin

The Minister of Migration and Displaced, Othman al-Ghanmi, monitors the return of 182 Yazidi IDPs, which is equivalent to 52 families from camps for displaced persons to their places of initial residence after conducting a security check in coordination and cooperation with the competent authorities in the security services.

In addition, the Minister, according to the statement of his press service, announced the return of the second wave of Yazidi IDPs, which amounts to 19 people from the Ashti camp, they will also be resettled in the areas of their original residence in Sinjar.

Al-Ghanmi stressed that in the coming days, returning IDPs will be provided with basic necessities and food, while emphasizing at the same time ensuring the needs of displaced and returning families in coordination and cooperation with humanitarian organizations and relevant security services.
