Yazidis of Tbilisi celebrate the ancient holiday of Charsham Sare Sale
Yazidis around the world today celebrate Çarşema Serê Salê (Çarşema Serê Salê), a traditional holiday associated with the new year. It is an important event in the culture and religion of the Yazidi ethno-religious community, which has a rich heritage and unique customs.
On the eve of the holiday, a solemn ceremony was held in the Yazidi temple of Koba Sltan Ezid in Tbilisi. The heads of clergy conducted a religious ritual, blessing all Yazidis present and wishing them prosperity and peace.
After the ceremony, invited guests gathered in the hall of the Cultural Centre at the temple to enjoy traditional treats, including dyed eggs and sweets, symbolising the holiday and its joyful mood.
At the end of this wonderful day, the children's dance ensemble "Ezdikhan" performed in front of the guests, giving everyone present bright and unforgettable moments of the national heritage and culture of the Yazidis.
