The Prime Minister of Iraq, the President and the Prime Minister of Kurdistan congratulated the Yezidis on the holiday of Charsham Sor

Acting Prime Minister of Iraq Mustafa al-Kazimi congratulated the Yezidi community on the holiday of Charshama Sor (Red Wednesday), an ancient holiday of the Yezidis associated with the beginning of the new year. Al-Kazim wished the Yezidis of Iraq a peaceful sky over their heads.
Also, Kurdistan President Nechirvan Barzani congratulated the Yezidi community of Kurdistan, Iraq and the whole world on this wonderful spring holiday. Wishing them peace, security and prosperity. Adding that their diversity and cohesion have always been the pride of Iraq.
The President noted in his message that he is making every effort to free the abducted Yezidis and clarify their fate, expressing the full support of the community in restoring their homes and ensuring security in their territories. Nechirvan Barzani expressed hope that those Yezidis who still live in camps for displaced persons will celebrate future holidays in better conditions.
"Kurdistan will remain a land of forgiveness, acceptance and peace," he concluded.
Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani also congratulated the Yezidi community on the holiday, promising to help the Yezidi community in protecting their rights and fulfilling their demands. The Kurdistan Government will continue negotiations with Baghdad to normalize the situation in the Shangal area and ensure the withdrawal of all illegal armed groups from it.
