Unlike the Yazidis community in the Caucasus, which are long time integrated into local society, the Yazidis community in Germany is mostly recent immigrants. And most often not from a good life.

This, and economic immigrants from the former Soviet Union, which began to move to Germany after the collapse of the Soviet Union and refugees from countries in the Middle East, especially from Iraq, where most recently, the ISIS terrorists have organized the most severe terror and the extermination of the Yazidis. Therefore, resettlement to Germany for many Yazidis families was literally a salvation from death.
It is clear that the Yazidis as a people who always respects and respected those countries and those peoples among whom they live, trying not to advertise the problems of their community in the "host country". Including in Germany. At least out of gratitude to the German people, who really showed sympathy and complicity in the fate of refugees from ISIS and saved many from certain death.

However, this does not mean that there are no problems in the Yazidi community in Germany. They try not to talk about these problems publicly, but they have a generally negative impact on the preservation of Yazidis' identity in the new conditions. First of all, it should be noted that, unfortunately, the Yazidis community in Germany is "connected with politics".

Even the resettlement of Yazidis in Germany is not complete without a policy. So the German government decided to take in 2019 600 Yazidis from Iraqi Kurdistan. Within the framework of the program established between the Kurdistan region and Germany, Yazidi women, girls and children who suffered from terrorists have already been sent to the European country several times to receive treatment and psychological assistance. And in Germany, the Yazidis continue to "patronize" the "local" Kurdish policy.

This is despite the fact that the Yazidis have always tried to stay away from politics. And from this as history shows – in the end there was only benefit. After all, politics, unfortunately, is different.

For example, the Soviet Union among the Yazidis in Communist times, there were almost no party and Soviet "activists". This is generally well known to those who lived near the Yazidis. Also among the Yazidis were not "snitches" and informants. On the conscience of any "Soviet" Yazid there are no tears, no blood of victims of Communist repression, no victims of collectivization or deportation of other peoples. To the "excesses" and other crimes of Communist times, the Yazidis are absolutely innocent.

Yazidis would like to be away from politics in Europe, including Germany, but it does not always work. And often politics interfere with the Yazidis to maintain their identity.

Yazidis are trying to be involved in various activities political and party groups, mainly Kurdish. Including those who do not particularly want to recognize the uniqueness of the Yazidi identity, "attributing" them to the Kurdish ethnic group. Especially problematic communication of the Yazidis with those of the left political forces, which are often not serious about some of the Yazidi tradition, as " vestiges of the past".

Also, in the Germany too much "takes care" of the Yazidis very active feminist movement. From the terror of ISIS suffered many of the Yazidi women that still some are in captivity or bondage to terrorists. Feminist organizations are making efforts to help women Yazidis. This, on the one hand, is good, but on the other hand, it gives rise to feminist organizations to "obsessively sympathize" and "teach" Yazidi women even in those conditions when they do not ask for such "study".

Meanwhile, many of the postulates of the feminist movement, which support the Kurdish left parties and do not quite correspond to the Yazidi culture. For centuries, Yazidi women have been distinguished by freedom, independence and equality in the community.
Even the fact that the Yazidi community has historically considered its members only those who had Yazidis and father and mother for a long time shows the importance of the role of women in Yazidis. Since the peoples, where the role of women was more diminished, the origin of the human mother, as a rule, did not pay much attention.

But Yazidi woman pay great attention to family life and the family. It is in the family that the native language and the main Yazidi traditions are preserved. In Germany, feminist organizations and activists, take care of Yazidi women, including those affected by ISIS in their care "go too far" imposing what women do not want. They taught them, what according to many Yazidis are superfluous. This is a problem that Yazidis do not want to talk about – because they are generally grateful to those organizations that help victims of ISIS.

In General, society in Germany has long gone from the traditional Yazidi concepts of life and family life. Families here are much less strong than in the same post-Soviet countries. In Germany, mutual understanding between generations is much weaker than in countries such as Georgia, Armenia, Russia or Ukraine, not to mention Iraq or Syria.
Yazidis in Germany, get into a society where the family often is not in the first place. Yazidi children communicate with their peers at school and are literally "torn" between the traditions of their families and the way the relations between children and parents in most families in Germany are built. For example, the Germans did not take many important life issues to solve with their parents or older relatives – as is customary with the Yazidis, unfortunately, often there are no such concepts of chastity for girls and boys, as in the Yazidi environment. This affects the psyche of children and their education – and not always for the better.

Thus, the problem of "differences of cultures and worldviews" of Yazidis and Germans in Germany exists. How to solve it that there were no infringed or suffered– it isn't known yet. But it does not need to close eyes on them, otherwise the problems will sooner or later begin in the Yazidi families themselves.
