Yazidi activists conducted a working visit to Baghdad in order to familiarize officials with the situation of Yazidi refugees in the region

The Yazidi youth delegation has completed its five-day tour to Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, which included a series of visits and meetings on the problems and situation in the camps of Yazidi refugees and displaced persons.
Civil activist Jamal Shreim said that the delegation visited the "green zone", where a meeting was held with Mr. Hisham Daoud, adviser to the Prime Minister of Iraq, in the presence of high-ranking representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the parties discussed the most important problems faced by the Yazidi people in Sinjar, including the Al-Qahtaniya district.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation handed over to the Prime Minister's adviser a document on the requirements of the Yezidi community, the most important of which are:
- Solving an administrative problem in the Sinjar district.
- Work on the transformation of Sinjar district into a province.
- Creation of a special fund that will work on the restoration and reconstruction of Sinjar, the fund should be managed exclusively by people from Sinjar.
- Work to restore stability and return displaced persons to Sinjar.
- Work on the administration of justice in Sinjar.
- Acceleration of the implementation of the Law on the Surviving Yezidis on the ground.
- Activation of the work of state officials on the issues of the Yezidi population.
It is worth mentioning that this initiative was implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
