Mirzo Music Foundation succeeded by organising a week of culture in Sinjar. It included many activities such as singing, dancing, folklore classes, national costume demonstrations and popular cuisine. All these initiatives are praiseworthy and commendable. The festival presented a beautiful picture of the Yazidi community and emphasised that Yazidis retain a rich heritage and folklore.

The event also drew attention to an important issue: the establishment of a special day dedicated to Yazidi folklore to be celebrated in all Yazidi regions, including Sinjar, Bashiqa and Bahzani. On this day, every Yazidi region will be able to participate in singing and dancing, and in the future, the organisers will be able to expand participation to other regions such as Syria, Armenia and Georgia, making this week-long festival with international participation. The programme includes musical performances, dances, theatrical performances, exhibitions and other artistic activities reflecting the diverse aspects of Yazidi folklore and heritage.

"These events can be an incentive for young people from other Yazidi regions to show interest in their heritage, develop their talents in various fields and strengthen their identity. So we should not stop or wait for someone else to organise similar events. We have many potential sponsors from the business sector and non-profit organisations that could support this initiative. I recommend that the Mirzo Foundation and its staff take this project under their leadership and develop it in the future," states Nasr Haji Khader.
