Although thousands of Yazidis have been able to return to their homeland of Sinjar, the obstacles to resuming their lives are enormous - especially for women like Adlana, a widowed mother of five.

"Life has become very difficult. I was under psychological and financial pressure. We couldn't find any jobs in the area, especially for women."

Adlana and her family live in the mountainous area of Sinjar, where there are almost no services. They were engaged in agriculture for several generations, but due to forced relocation and destruction, Adlana's family lost the resources to cultivate their land. That's where the Nadias initiative came in. Adlana joined our project to support women-led farms. As part of the program, she received equipment for growing vegetables, including seeds, fertilizers, and tools.

"Now everything has changed. I have a job that will be a source of income for my family. This project gave me great hopes. I personally consider it one of the most successful projects to support women in the area and provide them with income. "
