We live in the 21st century, where the media and communications sector plays an important role in delivering information to communities and beyond.  Currently, the media and communications are one of the fastest ways to get information, but unfortunately the skepticism inherent in the Yazidi people makes it difficult to inform our Yazidi community. I would also like to note that sometimes lack of education, distrust, or perhaps lack of financial resources are among the main reasons why we should create an independent and modern media for Yazidis. The question is: what should we do? Leave attempts to make independent media because we face problems? The answer to this question is obvious. we will provide information to our people so that they know about the successes, the problems we face on the world stage, and how our people cope with this.

A striking example of this is that almost five and a half years after the genocide that took place in Sinjar on August 3, 2014, Yazidi activists worked to recognize the Yazidi genocide at the international level, which despite all the obstacles went from door to door, from Parliament to Parliament; so many steps were taken, while getting justice may require a lot of additional efforts. This cannot be done only by activists; we also need the media to be a real voice for Yazidis and other persecuted minorities in Iraq, who are still suffering as a result of the ideology of extremism and sometimes sectarian wars in the area. The media can be a key force for our Yazidi people to be informed about what is happening to the Yazidi community around the world.
