Social Contract is the path to solution for all outstanding issues in Syria
Member of the Administrative Council of the Yazidi House, Farouk Tozo, confirmed that the social contract in the northern and eastern region of Syria is a guarantee of the rights of all components and the path to solution for all outstanding issues in Syria.
On December 12, the Democratic People's Council in the North and East Syria region ratified the social contract for the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria region and it became effective for all regions of the Democratic Autonomous Administration.
The social contract included a preamble, 4 main chapters, and 134 articles, through which all components of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria region were granted their rights. It was stated in Article 41: The Yazidi religion is a religion in its own right, and its adherents have the right to preserve their religious, social, and cultural privacy and protect it from all Types of assimilation and extermination through their institutions and the relevant DAA institutions.
Regarding the importance of the social contract in preserving the rights of the Yazidi component, Farouk Tozo, a member of the Administrative Council of the Yazidi House in Jazira Canton, explained: “After long discussions, the social contract was approved, and on this basis this contract includes the rights of all components present in North and East Syria, including the Yazidi component.” Who did not obtain his most basic rights during the era of the Syrian regime.”
Farouk Tozo noted that: “The representative of the Yazidi House was part of the discussions during the drafting of the social contract, and the discussion took place with all the components before drafting the contract, and no component was far from the contract discussions.”
