Yazidi temple "Quba Siltan Êzîd" in Tbilisi and the administrative building attached to the temple (Center of Yazidi Culture) have been undergoing a full-fledged restoration process for several months. The temple will retain its appearance, but will be rebuilt with quality and expensive material. The major renovation of the temple was a forced measure, as it was rapidly deteriorating due to poor quality material. In unfavorable weather conditions facing stones fell off, and walls became unusable, similar situation with the administrative building, the roof of the Center of Yazidi culture needed waterproofing and covering with a new roof. The entire complex is being renovated in stages. The whole process will be documented, as well as recorded on photo and video.

All works are carried out on donations of Yazidis, who could not leave indifferent the condition of the temple and the Cultural Center. At their personal request, their names are not disclosed, as they believe that they are doing a good deed not for publicity, but from the bottom of their hearts. As they themselves said, they are guided by the Yazidi commandment:

Heger te xêrek dabî,

Û avêda berdabî,

Bal Xwedê hinda nabî.

If you have made a donation (good)

Throw it in the water (don't talk about it),

It will not be lost before God.

(From the Yazidi sacred Qawl)

On behalf of the Cultural Center of the Caucasus Yazidis, I express my deepest gratitude to the generous people who have made significant contributions to the restoration of the Yazidi temple and cultural center in Tbilisi. Their unwavering support and selfless good deeds have been instrumental in preserving this sacred place of worship and Cultural Center for future generations.

The rebuilding of the temple due to the deterioration of its structural integrity was a labor of love and dedication. Anonymous donors, guided by the noble Yazidi precept of doing good deeds without seeking recognition, stepped forward to ensure the continued existence of this spiritual sanctuary. Their actions epitomize the core values of compassion, generosity and selflessness that are at the heart of the Yazidi faith. Their willingness to remain anonymous further emphasizes their humility and sincere desire to contribute to the preservation of their heritage.

Sincerely, Iurii Smoev, Head of the Cultural Center of the Caucasus Yazidis.
