Local Yezidi Internet media "The Voice of the Yezidis" (Dengê Êzdiyan): The government of Iraq contradicts itself. They are like squirrels in a wheel spinning in one place and doing nothing specifically for the Yezidi population.
Nineveh Governor Najm al-Juburi said: "As long as the Yezidi population lives in the camps of Kurdistan, Sinjar will not be restored, the areas where the Yezidi population of Sinjar lived will not be reconstructed, the process is underway and plans to improve and rehabilitate the entire infrastructure, but the devastation of the area from residents prevents their implementation. We don't know how many Yazidi families will come back."
But the question immediately arises how and where Yazidi refugees and displaced persons will return, when after the clashes in 2014 everything is destroyed, there is no basic infrastructure, houses, schools, hospitals, state institutions, and most importantly there are no jobs.
According to the Governor of Nineveh, due to the financial problems of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is not yet possible to create a police brigade for Sinjar in which the local Yezidi population would serve.
According to the statistics of the Department of Migration and Displaced Persons and the Investigation of Crisis Situations in the province of Dahuk, out of 135,844 displaced persons distributed in 15 camps in Dahuk, 33,724 people have returned to Sinjar, and 102,120 Yazidi refugees are still living in the camps.
