Why does a representative of the Yezidi minority not have the right to head the committee on migration and displacement of the Yezidi population
The deputy from the Yezidi minority from the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sherif Suleiman, confirmed that Yezidi deputies have the right to head the Committee on Migration and Displacement, but they are not appointed to such a position.
Sherif Suleiman made a statement to the National News Agency of Iraq
"Our requirement is to head the Committee on Migration and Displacement, because most of the displaced persons are representatives of the Yezidi nationality, our representatives are not in any of the committees.
We hope for the Chairman of the Parliament and representatives of the political blocs that the Yezidis will have their representative in various committees, as it was at the previous parliamentary session in order to represent the interests of the Yezidi population.
