Memoirs of a Yazidi girl Chinar and her family

A Yazidi woman, Chinar Elias tells the story of her family:
"We were in the village of Kocho, which is located about 22 km from the center of Sinjar district. We couldn't escape to the mountain, so ISIS surrounded us. For 12 days, no one came to our aid, neither the Iraqi troops, nor the Kurds, then there was no Yazidi militia that could save us from the hands of ISIS. The terrorists gathered us in a rural school and distributed us on two floors, men on the first floor and children and women on the second floor. Then their leaders arrived in cars and took the men to Kocho in an unknown direction, later we learned that they took the men out and shot them, and scattered the bodies in different mass graves.
After killing the men, they took the women to areas under the control of ISIS, where they were subjected to the most terrible crimes, were sold as slaves in slave markets in Iraq and Syria in accordance with Islamic Sharia. All this happened in 2014, the entire so-called civilized European world was silent.
Among these victims were members of my family. Anar Elias Khalaf, Yazida Elias Khalaf, Bilal Elias Khalaf are children who did not taste the taste of life, but ISIS stopped the beating of their hearts and burned the hearts of their parents.
At the moment, 4 members of the Chinar family are missing, as are hundreds of Yazidis abducted by ISIS during the attack on Shangal in August 2014.
