The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in its latest report confirmed its support to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to continue hosting Yazidi IDPs and refugees fleeing violence and conflict.

UNHCR confirms that it is "a staunch supporter of the efforts of the Kurdistan Regional Government to assist refugees, and a dedicated partner. UNHCR has provided support and continues to support Yazidi minority”.

The UNHCR report says that the monitoring of the camps of Yazidi refugees and displaced persons fleeing the conflict and persecution in Iraq and neighboring Syria continues.

According to the glories of Yazidi human rights activists: "Most of the refugees and IDPs continue to stay in Kurdistan, because they do not have, firstly, the opportunity to return to their homes because they are still looted or destroyed, and all construction aid has dissolved between the officials of Iraq and Kurdistan. Secondly: this is political instability, imperfections of public services and there are no stable security conditions".
