Yazidi activist Lamiya Aji Bashar received the "National Women's Bravery Award"
It is nice to hear that a Yazidi woman has been awarded the National Women's Bravery Award in recognition of her bravery. Yazidi activist Lamiya Aji Bashar, a truly inspiring personality, received a well–deserved award from the hands of Mirza Dinnayi.
Lamiya Bashar is a Yazidi human rights activist who was able to free herself from ISIS captivity, but during the escape she stepped on a mine, having received numerous injuries, the girl miraculously survived. Lamiya is recognized as an honorary UN ambassador for the fight against slavery and has received a number of international human rights awards, including the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.

Nadia Murad is a Yazidi human rights activist who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 for her work on combating sexual violence and human trafficking.

Amal Jabar is a lawyer who has been providing legal assistance to ISIS victims. In 2019, she was awarded the Vaclav Havel Prize in the field of Human Rights.
Zeina El-Amir is a doctor who provided medical care to ISIS victims. In 2016, she was awarded the "International Women's Award for Courage".
