The arrival of a high-ranking delegation of the Iraqi army in Sinjar is an important event that can have both positive and negative consequences for Yazidi population. On the one hand, this may indicate that the Iraqi Government is serious about ensuring the safety of Yazidis and protecting their rights. In 2014, Yazidis were subjected to genocide by ISIS militants, and many of them still live in fear of new attacks. The arrival of the Iraqi army can help boost their sense of security and stability.

On the other hand, there is a fear that the Iraqi army may try to take full control of Sinjar, which may lead to a decrease in the autonomy of Yazidi population. Currently, there are two competing administrations in Sinjar, one of which is appointed by the authorities of the federal Government, and the second is the Government that carries out its work from Dohuk Province. If the Iraqi army tries to subdue both administrations, it may cause discontent and protests among Yazidis.

It is also important to note that currently there are no Yazidi authorities in Yazidi regions who would rule the region. The government of Nineveh and Sinjar province is divided between Kurds and Arabs without taking into account the interests of Yazidi population. This is a serious violation of the rights of Yazidis and limits their ability to participate in the management of their own destiny.

In general, the arrival of a high-ranking delegation of the Iraqi army in Sinjar is an ambiguous event that can have both positive and negative consequences for Yazidi population. In order to avoid negative consequences, the Iraqi Government needs to take into account the interests of Yazidi population and work with them to create a management system that will meet the needs and desires of all residents of Sinjar.
