The reconstruction of the Lalish Shrine, a sacred site for the Yazidi community in Iraq's Nineveh province, has received a significant boost with the allocation of 2.5 billion dinars (nearly $2 million). This funding came after a joint review by the engineering committee overseeing the project and the Sheikhan Division of the Endowment Bureau.

The project received the full support of Governor Najm Al-Jubouri, who played a key role in securing the necessary resources. In addition, the Prime Minister's Advisor for Yazidi Affairs and the Assistant Governor of Nineveh also made valuable contributions. The Engineering Committee, working diligently on a voluntary basis, deserves special recognition for its expertise and dedication. Similarly, the Sheikhan Endowment Department provided invaluable support throughout the project.

Construction work began in late November and it is anticipated that the project will move forward significantly with the funds allocated. The goal is to create a facade worthy of this ancient and revered temple, reflecting its rich history and spiritual significance.

Our sincere thanks to all those who have supported this initiative, especially Governor Najm al-Jubouri and the individuals listed above. We are confident that the reconstruction will fulfill the high expectations of the community and will be a testament to the resilience and hope of the Yazidi people.

With continued dedication and support, the Lalish Shrine will be restored to its former glory, serving as a vibrant symbol of faith and cultural heritage for future generations.
