The Yezidi girl presented her publications and opened a library

Janan Shakir Elias, a Yezidi girl from the village of Sariyka in Nineveh province, who has a bachelor's degree in physics, assures that her interest in books has been going on since childhood, her father instilled in her respect and love for books.
The Iraqi Al-Amal Association and a local organization have launched the Joint Future program to support projects for young and talented people. As soon as Janan found out about this program, she did not hesitate to apply for participation, and won in the nomination "Best Project".
On February 24, 2022, Janan achieved her goal, after several attempts she managed to find a suitable place in her village and open the long-awaited library, this is almost the first library opened in one of the Yezidi villages.
Janan says that her goal is to serve the region, spread culture and history, strives for the development and progress of society, and for this we must start with ourselves.
