Nikala Pirosmani is a famous artist from Georgia, who became famous all over the world in the genre of primitivism. The artist had an interesting and sometimes sad life. He left about 180 paintings to the world. Today I would like to tell you about the history of his one of the most interesting paintings "the Janitor". Before the artist met the Yazidi janitor at Pirosmani and lost his famous painting "Margarita", his life seemed to have lost its meaning. At that time, in the area in Tbilisi where the artist lived, a janitor, whom everyone knew, worked in the morning. One day Pirosmani became interested and met him. Pirosmani withdrew into himself and every day, without leaving the house, was engaged in painting. As the artist's neighbors said, the janitor brought food to the artist every morning. The janitor perceived the Pyromaniac as his grandson and took care of him.

Interest in Nikala's life gradually returned. One day, when the janitor once again brought him food, the artist decided to show him a picture. Seeing the picture, the Janitor was delighted with what he saw, because Pirosmani painted his portrait. He was shouting and talking: "Look, one in one, looks like me»

It would not hurt to note how the Yazidi janitor looked in his portrait. From the portrait, we can see that the janitor has toothless, sunken cheeks. His ears seemed to merge with his cheeks. He has a large, loose nose and a thick beard. The lips are almost invisible. A Yazidi street sweeper's hat is full of untidy, unkempt hair. He is dressed in a rough, thick black uniform. Because of his age, the janitor relies on a large stick. He was wearing rubber boots. On the yellow line of the hat is clearly written: "Janitor" and its number-1035.

At first glance, the portrait of a Yazidi janitor is funny and simple. But at the same time, his face radiates kindness, honesty and dedication. Thanks to this emotional mood and simplicity, Pirosmani's painting "the Janitor" is very popular and still deserves admiration.

Sometimes you wonder how many other little-known stories about Yazidis that the Yazidis themselves don't know about. This Yazidi janitor played a significant role in the career of the world-famous artist Pirosmani.
