Yazidi Union Foundation announced that the number of Yazidis in Germany has exceeded 250,000 as a result of permanent emigration.

The foundation stated that two years ago the number of Yazidis in Germany was 200,000; at the moment the number exceeds 250,000 because of the constant arrival of Yazidis in Germany, whether emigrating legally or illegally. And this number is not limited to Iraqi Yazidis and the Sinjar region, Yazidis also migrate from Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia.

The Foundation expects that the number of Yazidis could reach 350,000 by 2025.

To date, there are about 105 Yazidi cultural centers in various provinces in Germany.

The outflow and emigration of Yazidis population is due to discrimination in their countries of residence. Discrimination includes: restriction of human rights and freedoms, ethnicity, religion, history, culture, traditions, persecution by the states of their residence, attacks on members of national minorities.
