Review of the "Nadia's Initiative" for the passing year
Nadia's Initiative has been rebuilding and rebuilding life in Sinjar for several years in order to pave the way for hundreds of thousands of Yezidis to return to their homes, and for this, as we know, basic infrastructure is needed to make the new life in the region a little easier. Thanks to Nadia Murad's organization, 2022 was a full year full of educational projects for Sinjar, 10,000 students were able to return to quality education, the work of the organization is tangibly changing the lives of Yezidi children who have survived war, violence and displacement.
This year "Nadia's Initiative" has worked hard to build and furnish 4 elementary schools, 2 new libraries for high schools, and 7 schools were built and equipped for students with disabilities, 14 schools were provided with furniture and basic supplies. Also, the organization is still engaged in the restoration and maintenance of kindergartens in Sinjar. The organization conducted training courses and trainings for 600 teachers on student-centered teaching methods and child protection.
In addition, the Nadia's Initiative has rebuilt and equipped several hospitals and health centers in Sinjar, which is not insignificant for the inhabitants of the region.
