The Yazdin Foundation monitoring group in Afrin reported that a militant group of the so-called "Syrian National Army" prevented residents of the Yazidi village of Pavluneh, 15 km northeast of Afrin, from returning to their homes, under the pretext of "infidels".

Most of the residents of the village of Pawluneh fled Afrin because of fears of harsh actions by the Syrian opposition fighters, as many of their members joined radical Islamic ideas.

A field monitoring group working in Afrin has secretly indicated that the Levantine Front faction is the faction that controls the Yazidi village, led by a military commander named Abu Dujana.

Some villagers who wanted to return to their homes submitted a request to the leaders of the legion to which the Levantine Front fighters belong, but there were no responses or reactions to these statements. 16 families, including children and women, tried to return to the village, but the Levantine Front did not allow them to do so, under the pretext that they could not live with them, members of the front call the Yazidis infidels and fire worshippers.

The Yazdina Foundation has received the names of families who want to return to their homes, but they will not be published in any media to ensure the safety of those who want to return. The Foundation is ready to provide all the names and full information of the families to international and human rights organizations working on minority rights, if necessary.

The group of observers confirmed from several sources that the reason for the refusal of the Levantine Front fighters to let people into their homes is that their leaders have repeatedly stated that they will not allow the infidels to return, their property has become the prey of the militants who liberated the village, (in their words).

It is noteworthy that the militants of the so-called Syrian National Army took control of the Yazidi village on March 4, 2018, that is, 43 days after the start of the military operation called "Olive Branch", which began on January 20, 2018 and ended on March 20, 2020.
