The plight of Yazidi minority in Iraq and Syria continues. Yazidis were subjected to horrific acts of violence by ISIS in 2014, and many of them are still missing. There is disagreement about the number of Yazidis currently in the Al-Khol camp in Syria, but it is clear that there are some who cannot return home due to security problems, psychological and material pressure. The international community has not adequately responded to genocide of Yazidis and many Yazidis are still waiting for help in the captivity and slavery of ISIS families in the al-Khol camp.

Hussein Kaidi, director of the Office for the Rescue of Abducted Yazidis under the President of Kurdistan in Iraq, says that there are a large number of Yazidi women in the al-Khol camp, but they cannot return home for reasons of non-acceptance and security. Yazidis in the al-Khol camp are in a very difficult situation, almost all Yazidi women have been forcibly Islamized, beaten and abused, as a result of which most women have children. Adnan Rasoul Hassan, the official representative of the Syrian Yazidi Council for Public Relations, believes that Yazidis in the al-Khol camp are under threat from kidnappers and that they cannot escape. Yazidi activists and women who were rescued from the al-Khol camp said that the camp administration is aware of what is happening there, but for unknown reasons, everyone is silent.

To date, there is no full international recognition of genocide of Yazidis. British government recently recognized the genocide, but the Iraqi government did not. This lack of recognition prevents the international community from taking measures to help Yazidis.

Yazidi community calls on the UN to help Yazidis, Yazidis have suffered greatly, and they need the help of the international community to rebuild their lives.
