Laila Taalu was one of hundreds of women and girls who were captured by ISIS terrorists in 2014 in Iraq and Syria. She was a slave who was abused, raped.

In August of 2014. ISIL attacked the Shangal district and nearby Yazidi villages, where thousands of Yazidis were killed and several thousand were kidnapped. Therefore, the international Committee of justice is trying to create a case and prosecute ISIL members for genocide against Yazidis and crimes against humanity.

ISIL no longer controls Iraq and Syria as it used to, but hundreds of Yazidis remain captive or missing .

Leila said that she and her husband were forced to convert to Islam, but this did not protect them. One day, members of the terrorist organization ISIS took all the men out of the village into the valley, and shot them.

She was transported from one place to another between the city of Raqqa and Mosul, sold to more than eight people, was pregnant twice by rape, they forcibly terminated the pregnancy, and she almost died several times from forced abortion.

Finally, in March 2017, her relative managed to pay a smuggler to escape from the ISIS-controlled zone and her two children.

Her niece was also released. The girl did not suffer from physical injuries, but her family was killed in the bombing, and her father is still missing.

Leila says that if it wasn't for her two children, she would have killed herself and added that she was released, but she hasn't forgotten what happened to her, and the fear of ISIS returning remains.
