Tunisian woman to be sentenced in Germany for killing Yazidi child

The Federal Supreme court in Hamburg, in Northern Germany, will judge  a German-Tunisian woman named Omayma Abdi (35) on charges of joining ISIS fighters in Syria in 2015. She took part in the murder of a 13-year-old Yazidi child in her home.

The state Prosecutor's office in a German court accuses Omayma of crimes against humanity and other organized crimes related to human trafficking , the murder of a Yazidi child during this time period, as well as for joining the terrorist organization ISIS in Syria.

When control of ISIS became tight in Syria and Iraq, Omayma moved to her country of residence, Germany, to live as before. But the German police arrested her, and she had a firearm and a mobile phone, on which the police found many photos confirming her attitude and participation in ISIS, and this became evidence of the charges against her.

According to the indictment, the accused Omayma will appear in court for 13 sessions, and her last trial will take place on June 10 next year.
