Yazidi shrines rafts, how they will be dealt with in the light of Corona epidemic?

In the light of the current situation, curfews, and the procedures taken to limit the spread of Corona virus, it became difficult for Yazidis to perform the Yazidi shrines rafts this year because it could pose a danger to them.
In April, Yazidis raft most of their religious shrines in Walat Shex region, Shingal,Bashiqa,and Bahzani ,by celebrating and gathering at the shrines, among religious and social ceremonies, so the question arises, will the rafts this year will be like before or how ?
Spokesman of the “Yazidi Spiritual Council” “ Karim Sulaiman” spoke to” Ezidi 24” and said, in fact the rafts are linked with the villages and reeds that the shrines exist in, that is why we have not issued any clarification statement about the performance of the rafting ceremonies, therefore the elders of these villages and reeds should hold meetings to take a decision in this regard.
He added “ We are not in favour with rafting ceremonies, because it pose a danger to our society, that’s why we tell everyone and for their safety, adhere the decisions and stay away from gatherings, because by these works we harm ourselves, he also stated that , “In coming days, we will issue a clarification statement about the Yazidi New Year’s Day and explain to people of our religion the decision of the Spiritual Council on this.”
The Directorate of Yazidis Affairs in the Governorate of Duhok confirmed to “Ezidi 24” that “ it had previously indicated that it is not with the rafts being conducted at the present time due to what the country is going through and everyone should adhere the government’s decisions to limit the spread of Corona virus”
It is reported that Sheikh Batty raft ceremonies was held on the 8th of April 2020 in Khatari, in the presence of a small number of people of the region, differently from previous years and away from the celebrations.
