Civil society activists are sounding the alarm, saying that the number of cases of sexual violence against minors, is increasing in Georgia. NGOs offer to fight this problem.

The NGO "Women's Movement" has dedicated a campaign under the slogan "Hear me!" to the fight against sexual violence against children and adolescents. In the center of Tbilisi, a march of 1,000 Parents was held, which was also attended by ordinary citizens.

The March of 1,000 Parents has five main demands: to amend the article of the Criminal Code of Georgia on rape; to create a special department in the Prosecutor General's Office to investigate cases of sexual violence; to introduce sex education classes or courses in schools; to increase the number of psychologists and social workers; and to bring to justice the prosecutor, who for more than two months investigated the case of a teenage girl from Adjara who reported rape.

Actions for the protection of minors and against sexual violence will be held in Tbilisi and nine other cities of Georgia for 100 days.
