The so-called ministry of foreign affairs of occupied Abkhazia evaluates the statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, about the desire to return Abkhazia and Tskhinvali as a populist and non-perspective statement.

"It is obvious that such populist statements are made ahead the next parliamentary elections and are aimed, first of all, at the domestic audience," said the so-called ministry.

According to them, any attempt by the Georgian leadership to "return Abkhazia to Georgia" is absolutely unpromising.

"We consider it necessary to state once again that the Republic of Abkhazia is an independent state and continues to strengthen its sovereignty. The people of the Republic of Abkhazia have made their final choice and this choice is not subject to any revision," said the agency.

For information, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, in his speech at the ceremony dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia, said that it is the Georgian dream that "on the 40th anniversary of the restoration of Georgia's independence - in 2030, we will live in a united and strong Georgia with our Abkhaz and Ossetian brothers and sisters. The united and strong Georgia should become a full-fledged member of the European family in 2030".
