GeoStat: Economy up by 8 percent in March
The estimated real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate amounted to 8.2 percent for March 2024 compared to the previous year and the average real GDP growth of Q1 2024 equalled 7.8 percent, the Georgian National Statistics Service (GeoStat) reported.
In March 2024, compared to the same period of the previous year, the estimated real growth in the following activities contributed significantly: Manufacturing, Information and communication, Professional scientific and technical activities, and Real estate activities.
Declines were observed in Construction, Energy, Transportation and storage.
