Foreign Ministers of Baltic states and Iceland to visit Georgia on May 15

Foreign Ministers of Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Iceland will visit Georgia on May 15, the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

FMs of Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Iceland – Baiba Braže, Margus Tsahkna, Gabrielius Landsbergis and Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir will hold joint meetings with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and parliamentary opposition party representatives. The FMs will also meet government members and civic society organizations.

Foreign Ministers of 4 countries will hold a joint press conference with President Salome Zourabichvili.

Ongoing developments in Georgia, reforms, the draft bill On Transparency of Foreign Influence and the commitments as an EU candidate country will be discussed at the meetings.

“First time the Foreign Ministers of the Baltic States and Iceland will make a joint visit to Georgia. They are coming as the closest and most committed friends of Georgia and its EU future. We will discuss concerns about current developments with officials and society,” Baiba Braže wrote on the X Platform.
