Rally in Brussels in defense of the rights and freedoms of Yazidis of Iraq and Syria
Yesterday in Brussels in front of the European Parliament and in front of the UN office there was a peaceful march in defense of the rights and freedoms of the Yazidi population in Iraq. Representatives of European human rights organizations, members of the Belgian Parliament and authorities, leaders and activists of a dozen Yazidi organizations in Europe, as well as, elders, intellectuals, clergy, youth organizations and Yazidi students were invited to the peaceful rally. The event was also attended by Yazidis from Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Russia, the United States, Australia, Armenia, and Georgia.
The purpose of the peaceful rally is to acquaint the government and authorities of European countries with the problems of the Yazidi people in the East, to protect the rights and freedoms of religion and identity of Yazidis of Iraq and Syria.
A similar peaceful rally in defense of the rights and freedoms of Yazidis of Iraq, subject to hatred, was held in Armenia, in front of the UN office in Yerevan. The event was organized by the "National Union of Yazidis of Armenia. The "Association of Young Yazidis of Armenia" also joined the peaceful march, as well as the brave youth of the Armenian people.
