A campaign to collect signatures for submission to the Swiss Parliament on the recognition of the genocide of Yazidis, as Germany did, is being announced. Earlier, Yazidi community in Germany and in the world signed a petition calling on the German Parliament to hold a session on the official recognition of the Yazidi genocide.

At that time, Yazidi community was able to collect signatures to the German parliament, reaching the limit of 60,000 signatures. After that, the German Parliament held an extraordinary session to discuss the official recognition of the Yazidi genocide, and after the beginning of 2023, the Parliament unanimously approved the official recognition of the Yazidi genocide.

To this day, more than 2,700 women and girls are still missing and their fate is unknown, in addition, about 400,000 Yazidis live in camps for internally displaced persons without any attempts to provide security, stability and basic services in their areas for the possibility of voluntary return to their places of origin.

It is noteworthy that today more than 18 governments and international organizations have officially recognized the genocide of Yazidis and expressed solidarity with the victims of the genocide, against whom anti-human actions were committed, and their territories were destroyed.

Anyone can sign this petition, the information entered by the link will not be transmitted to any other party except the Swiss Parliament.
