A dramatic "romantic" story that occurred in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia was told recently by the Russian network publication "360tv.ru".

21-year-old Yazid Musa Mamayan, against the will of his parents decided to marry a Russian girl Sophia Pyatnitskaya. The young man's parents were strongly against this marriage and even bought him a ticket to take him to Armenia and marry a 13-year-old girl of his nationality and religion. However, Musa showed firmness, and refused to part with his beloved. She turned to "360" for help. According to Sofia, the expulsion of her son to Armenia was not the first attempt of the parents to influence the situation. Musa was taken to the North to stop their communication, but he escaped from there.
"We are Yazidis, we try not to let strangers into the family, we prefer our own. Yes, we were against the Russian daughter-in-law," admitted the father of the young man Genji Agitovich in a conversation with 360.It is not yet known how this story will end: whether Musa will listen to Her parents or insist on marriage with Sophia Pyatnitskaya. But how could she not ended it is clear that it is unlikely that this will be the last.
Sometimes "the heart wants what it wants". Young Yazidis, and young men and women, living in an environment of other peoples, will inevitably get acquainted with their representatives. There will be feelings of affection and sometimes even love.
As experience shows, if the feeling has arisen – the "quenching" of its parent taboos, persuasion and threats, are often too late." But, nevertheless, the Yazidi people want to survive, do not want to assimilate and "dissolve" among other Nations. And in the case of mass "mixed" marriages, this process will be almost inevitable. Too few Yazidis, on the contrary, to "dissolve" representatives of other, much more numerous peoples.

What to do?

There are also ways out of this situation.

First you need to try to Yazidis as possible did not leave their homes. And if left for example so that the majority of brothers and sisters was still at Home. After all, if a young man of Yazidis will be in "their" environment, it is much likely that he will fall in love with a girl  and create a family that will continue the tradition of the Yazidi people. Or he will marry according to Yazidi traditions – that is, with the blessing of his parents.

It is sad, for example, that some Yazidi villages in the Republic of Armenia have started to empty. But these villages have recently been distinguished by many children, young people created new families, built new homes. And naturally in such villages, the young family was 100% English.

But even if the Yazidis went to the city already, it is likely that it will not create a family with the representative of his people, and at the conclusion of the marriage will follow the advice of their parents. Moreover, this probability increases if the Yazidi boy goes abroad, where the Yazidi Diaspora is very small and sometimes even just to meet a Yazidi girl is problematic. Secondly, it is necessary to develop and promote unique and rich national culture among Yazidis in every possible way. In this case, even a person will enter into a mixed marriage, it will be as far as possible to raise their children in Yazidi culture. However, the common cultural and ideological views of the Yazidi youth will contribute to the fact that marriages will be concluded in the Yazidi environment without any unnecessary "coercion". The young man himself will want to marry a girl from his people to preserve this culture and pass it on to his children.
