After his visit to Shangal, the immigration Minister talks with the planning Minister to help restore life in several villages where the Yazidi minority lives.

Faiq Jabro, Minister of immigration and displaced persons, met recently with planning Minister Khaled Battal al-Najem, and justice Minister Salar Abdul Sattar also attended the meeting in the capital Baghdad. The meeting was aimed at discussing several issues, the most important of which are the reconstruction of destroyed villages of the local population and the Yazidi minority.

The Minister called for the reconstruction of three villages in the Nineveh plain and Sinjar region, including infrastructure, medical centers, electrification and water supply, with funding from the Social development Fund established by the Ministry of planning in collaboration with the world Bank, because of the desire of the inhabitants of these areas to quickly return to their homes.

Jabro stated on the official page of the Ministry of Displacement and Migration (MPM) that "The initiative to return refugees to their places of residence in all its directions achieves the goals of sustainable development by eliminating the reasons for the reluctance of displaced families to return to their places of residence due to the lack of schools, hospitals, infrastructure, unemployment, etc. This initiative provides positive alternatives both in terms of rehabilitation opportunities and in terms of job provision and promoting equality among returnees." Emphasizing the importance of supporting returning families to encourage them to return to their places of residence and improve their living conditions.

The Minister of planning, for his part, confirmed his full support for the return of displaced persons and the restoration of life in these areas.

It is reported that the immigration Minister visited the Shangal district a few days ago to study the cities and the return of people.
