Restrictions will be lifted throughout the country, with the exception of localities that have been declared strict quarantine zones.

On April 27, the first stage of lifting restrictions imposed due to the threat of coronavirus began.

In particular, starting from Monday, it is allowed to move around in cars, including taxis, it is allowed to operate online stores (wholesale and retail), delivery of any product and open agricultural markets.

Restrictions will be lifted throughout the country, with the exception of municipalities and administrative divisions that are declared strict quarantine zones.

In addition, for two days, on April 27 and 28, as an exception, it is allowed to enter and leave Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Kutaisi only to return to the actual address of residence. The ban on entry and exit in these cities was imposed on April 15 for the duration of the state of emergency.

"It should be noted that entry into and exit from these cities to return to the registered legal address in accordance with the current rules is possible at any time. All other restrictions imposed under the state of emergency remain in effect. Among them, the curfew from 21: 00 to 06: 00 remains in force, " Irakli Chikovani, adviser to the head of the government of Georgia, told reporters.

The government intends to break the restrictions associated with the threat of coronavirus in six stages. At the same time, based on the analysis of the epidemiological situation, the canceled restrictions may be re-introduced, as well as the timing for each subsequent stage may be revised.

Since March 21, due to the threat of the spread of the new COVID-19 coronavirus, a state of emergency has been in effect in Georgia. In this regard, residents of the country had to face a number of restrictions.

Last week, the government presented an anti-crisis plan and announced the gradual lifting of existing restrictions. Currently, only the start date of the first stage is known – April 27.
