A large-scale campaign “The Georgian language unites us” has launched

The department noted that the main goal of the campaign is to raise awareness of the importance and existing opportunities of the non-Georgian-speaking population in regions densely populated by ethnic minorities, and to popularize the state language.
“State language for integration” is the first and most important priority of the government policy on civic equality and inclusion, which is implemented under the leadership and coordination of the Office of the Minister of State for Reconciliation and Civic Equality.
Various opportunities for learning the state language: special programs and projects at all levels of education - both preschool, general, vocational and higher education, as well as adult education, within the framework of the “Georgian language unites us” campaign are presented through each means of mass communication; Videos were produced for both television and digital formats, and thematic billboards, banners and posters were placed in Tbilisi and regions densely populated by ethnic minorities. Bilingual videos were also posted on local TV channels; Information brochures will be distributed among the population in Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani,” the press service of the State Minister’s Office said in a statement.
