For the most part, Europeans learned the usefulness and necessity of the principle of nonviolence relatively late. Although this basic law of yazidism, regulating social relations penetrated into their consciousness, but has not yet developed into an instinct. To date, the world is ruled by force, countries are conquered by force, States are created only by force. The indigenous population of the country is partly destroyed, part turns into refugees, who in former times were called slaves.

Some believe that the Yazidis from ancient times, for thousands of years carefully avoided mixing to preserve the purity of the race. In fact, the reason for the prohibition of mixing with other peoples is the religious dogmas prescribed in their Scriptures. The Yazidis never believed that because of their origin, they were in any way physically or spiritually superior to other peoples. Moreover, Yazidis are prohibited from displacement within the community. As an ideal example, we can cite the caste of priests of the feast, which not only can not mix with other peoples, but even with co-religionists. We can state with complete determination that yazidism has always been far from racial delusions.

Another element of Yazidi nationalism is collective historical memory. Yazidism attaches great importance to significant events in its history. A deeply religious Yazidi believes that the merits of his ancestors in a sense are his own merits. Therefore, the Yazidis are trying by all means to preserve the memory of significant events in their history. People constantly in the most expressive images set forth in poems, epics, fairy tales and songs remember the heroes of the national liberation uprisings and armed resistance. For example, the names of such legendary personalities as Mir Jafar Dasni, generals Darvesh Avdi and jangir Agha occupy a very important place in the literary tradition of the people. This tradition through everyday speech, folklore and customs constantly affects the consciousness and life of the people.

At the same time, the Yazidis are not a vindictive people. We are surprised to see that among the Yazidis there are mainly heroic epics dedicated to certain personalities who played an important role in the tradition of the people. However, these epics can not be considered the main and significant events in the national memory, while events of incomparably greater historical scale, such as the great events of ancient history, tragedies and genocides, have not left a proper mark in the rituals and literature. As a result, many modern historians and politicians consider the ancient history of the Yazidis and the events of many genocides as historical fiction.

Yazidi nationalism manifests itself in the preservation of the native language. The world idea of considering language as the first cause of a nation is, no doubt, more valid than others. It is impossible to overestimate the firmness and durability of a society in which the preference is given to the native language, since it is the language that is extremely important in the process of personality formation. The one who perceives his native language from childhood, he always thinks in it, better perceives thoughts, feelings, understands everything experienced by his people since the emergence of this language.
Language forms the thinking and emphasis of a person for life, from which it is not given to get rid. Language has a unifying force, connects the individual with all people who speak his language, forms for him a similar worldview and feelings. The Yazidis are the only Kurds who have preserved the ancient Scriptures almost in an unnamed form, conduct their rituals and say prayers in the Kurdish language.
