Hungary can test electric cars produced in Georgia

Hungarian President Janos Ader offered to test in his country produced in Georgia electric cars.

Janos Ader together with his wife Anita Herceg arrived in Tbilisi on an official two-day visit on the eve of the evening.

Georgia and Hungary established diplomatic relations on 14 may 1992. The countries cooperate in the fields of economy, trade, transport, tourism, education and science. In order to deepen relations between Georgia and Hungary, the interstate Commission for economic cooperation has been functioning since 2013.

It was decided to build a plant for the production of electric vehicles in Kutaisi, the second largest city in Georgia, in 2020. A Memorandum signed in may, the Georgian holding Igroup and a Chinese consortium of Changan Automobile. It is expected that the plant will annually produce 40,000 electric vehicles, one half of which will go to the domestic market, and the second — for export to the European Union. The production will employ up to 300 local residents.

The industrial complex will be located in Kutaisi on an area of 100 hectares and will include enterprises for the production of eco-products, solar panels and high-tech products.

Another issue that was touched upon at the meeting of the parties is the use of thermal waters."Hungary has a huge experience in this area and if we cooperate in the future, we will be able to achieve good success," the Hungarian President said.
