Paata Manjgaladze, a member of the "Strategy Agmashenebeli" party, delivered a stark critique of the socio-economic challenges facing Georgia, warning of dire consequences if current trends persist.

In response to the announcement of a new draft law by the ruling "Georgian Dream" party aimed at curbing LGBT propaganda, Manjgaladze highlighted the pressing issues of poverty and emigration plaguing the nation.

"The policies of the 'Georgian Dream' are exacerbating the plight of our citizens, driving many to leave the country in search of better opportunities. If this trend continues unchecked, we will face a demographic crisis, with fewer and fewer individuals remaining to sustain our communities," Manjgaladze lamented.

He emphasized the urgency of addressing the root causes of emigration, including economic hardship and lack of opportunity, before diverting attention to divisive social issues.

"While the debate over the proposed draft law unfolds, it is imperative that we prioritize the fundamental needs of our people. We cannot afford to ignore the widespread poverty and despair driving our citizens abroad," Manjgaladze asserted.

"The focus must be on devising concrete solutions to stem the tide of emigration and alleviate the economic burdens weighing heavily on our society," Manjgaladze concluded.
