All - Russian football tournament among Yazidi teams

This month, an All-Russian football tournament among Yazidi teams was held in the city of Donskoy, Tula region. 14 teams took part in the tournament, including from Tula, Yaroslavl, Arzamas, Novosibirsk, Orsk, Kamyshin, Tambov, Yekaterinburg, Lipetsk, Ryazan, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and Krasnodar.

The tournament was divided into two groups of seven teams, in Group A the team from Novosibirsk was considered the favorite, and they came out on top on goal difference after the group games. The third place in group A was taken by representatives of Kamyshin, and the fourth place was taken by a team from the Tula region. In Group B, the champions of 2022 "Tambov" started the tournament with a defeat, but won all their games on the second game day and took first place with 13 points. The team from Orsk took second place with 12 points, the team from Krasnodar took third place with 11 points, and the team from Yaroslavl was fourth with 10 points. In the quarterfinals, one of the main sensations in the Tula-Tambov match took place. The Tula team showed character and ended in a goalless draw. It came to a penalty shootout, where luck smiled on the Tulyaks, and they went on, knocking out the main favorite from the tournament. But in the semifinals, they lost to Krasnodar with a score of 0:2. Krasnodar and Orsk looked decent in the final, but the match ended in a draw, and then again it turned into a penalty shootout, where it was already necessary to determine the winner of the tournament.

Mamoyan Rashid (Krasnodar) became the best defender, Ruslan Mamoyan (Krasnodar) became the best goalkeeper, Tamoyan Mazhit (Krasnodar) became the best scorer, Broyan Said (Orsk) became the best striker, Andrey Aliyan (Novosibirsk) became the best midfielder/assistant, and Tamoyan Mazhit (Krasnodar) became the best player of the tournament. The prize for the will to win was awarded to the player of the N/NOVGOROD team who was injured in the first round – Sharoyan Karam (Nizhny Novgorod). Audience Award – the Yazidi team of Tula.
