ENEMO will observe the elections in Georgia

The European Network of Election Observation Organizations (ENEMO) has sent a mission to Georgia to monitor the upcoming local government elections. This is stated in the message posted on the organization's website.

The observer mission will consist of six people who will be based in Tbilisi. An additional 20 short-term observers will be sent to different polling stations the day before the vote. These observers will monitor the opening of polling stations, the voting process, and the counting of votes throughout Georgia.

Based on the results of the monitoring, the ENEMO observation mission will prepare a report on the overall political and electoral environment, which will include recommendations for improving the electoral environment.

Recall that the elections to local self-government bodies in Georgia will be held on October 2, 2021. Residents of 64 cities and districts will choose mayors and deputies of local advisory bodies – sakrebulo.
