IRI survey: 65% of Georgian citizens consider unemployment the biggest problem
According to the latest survey conducted in Georgia by the International Republican Institute of the United States (IRI), 79% believe that the economic situation in the country has deteriorated over the past year. At the same time, 37% believe that the economic situation has "deteriorated to a certain extent", and 39% believe that "the situation has deteriorated very much".
Population survey:
IRI: If there are elections tomorrow-GM 34%, UNM-18%.
IRI: Who do not want to vote for in Georgia - GM 27%, UNM-26%.
IRI: 39% of respondents do not intend to be vaccinated against coronavirus.
IRI: 45% of respondents support holding early elections, while 45% are against.
IRI: 59% of Georgian residents believe that the country is developing in the wrong direction.
Most of the population cites economic problems, including unemployment and rising prices, as their main problem.
65% of respondents believe that the biggest problem in the country is unemployment.
37% cite high prices as the biggest problem, while poverty remains a problem for 26%.
For 16%, the main problem is the coronavirus pandemic. Among the challenges facing the country, the respondents named education (8%), occupied territories (4%), health care (9%), as well as low pensions (4%).
When asked "How has the pandemic affected the economic situation of the family?", 65% said that the situation has worsened. At the same time, in June 2020, the deterioration of the situation due to the pandemic was noted by slightly more-67% of respondents.
When asked how satisfied the population was with the government's response to the pandemic, the votes were distributed as follows: 44% said they were somewhat satisfied, while 20% were very dissatisfied.
According to public surveys for February 2021, only 59% are satisfied with the government's actions.
