Tbilisi City Hall will spend GEL 154 million on health care and social assistance to citizens in 2021. Most of this amount – GEL 130 million-will be allocated to help the neediest segment of the population.

Social programs

Tbilisi City Hall in 2021 will pay utility costs to those residents of the capital whose families do not score more than 200 thousand points on the welfare scale. Also, the Mayor's office pays 50 lari per child monthly to all socially needy large families whose points are less than 70 thousand points on the welfare scale. For all socially vulnerable families who score less than 70 thousand points, the following programs will operate: free clubs in the Palace of Students for Children and Adolescents, free training in art schools, sports schools and swimming pools.

In addition, the Mayor's Office will continue to issue one-time assistance for a newborn child (from 500 to 1500 lari, depending on the number of children).

The Mayor's office will provide the neediest segment of the city's population with free canteens and transport benefits. Tbilisi City Hall will also take care of children and teenagers with disabilities. For them, funds are allocated for a holiday at the resort in the form of a voucher.

In addition, district administrations on the ground will help citizens in solving medical and household problems, improving the standard of living, both by giving money and food and things. Also, the district administration and help cover the cost of the funeral.
