To gain knowledge and experience, Georgia has started preliminary negotiations with Poland, the Czech Republic and Israel, the Minister said.

In 2021, the Ministry of defense of Georgia plans to use three new defense enterprises together with partner countries, said the head of the Ministry Irakli Garibashvili.

"The development of military production is one of our main priorities. Next year, we will take effective steps to complete the projects already started and to implement new ones. In this direction, in order to gain knowledge and experience, we have already started preliminary negotiations with Poland, the Czech Republic and Israel," Garibashvili said during a speech in Parliament.

Today, military production in Georgia is concentrated on the basis of the state military scientific and technical center "Delta", which has existed since 2010. It combines six research institutes and the Tbilisi aviation plant and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of defense of Georgia.

Delta produces armored vehicles, mortars, grenade launchers, universal combat modules, drones, pistols, rifles, bulletproof vests and much more. The center already exports its products abroad. In addition, aircraft and helicopters are being upgraded at the Aviation plant. There is also a company "Delta textile", where uniforms are sewn for the military.
