Among the Yazidis athletes living in Russia, who are the pride of the country today, not the last place is occupied by Mikhail Aloyan. He is a member of the Russian Boxing team, honored master of sports of Russia (2010), four-time champion of Russia (2009-2011, 2014), European champion (2010), winner of the world Cup (2008), two-time world champion (2011, 2013), bronze medalist of the Olympic games (2012), silver medalist of the Olympic games (2016).

Mikhail Aloyan himself is a man versatile. He has two higher educations: graduated from Moscow Institute of law and Kemerovo state University. But he "does not stop there." Recently he decided to try himself as a Museum guide.

About this initiative of the athlete was recently published with an interview in the newspaper "Evening Novosibirsk" №20 from May 17, 2019 (https://vn.ru/news-bokser-mikhail-aloyan-budu-kak-lenin-/ ).

In "Night of museums-2019" boxer Mikhail Aloyan for the first time acted as a guide. If at the beginning of this all-Russian action to the guides lined up queues of visitors, now there is no excitement in the museums even at night. Therefore, it is increasingly difficult for the keepers of history to lure the audience to visit. We have to come up with something unusual.

To the staff of the Museum "Zelcova" creative idea came to myself. Or rather, Mikhail Aloyan came and said he was ready to become a guide for one night…

— Misha, how was born this idea? Why did you decide to become a tour guide?

— We met Elena Valerievna Makarova in the office of the Yezidi community, which is located in the Zaeltsovsky district on Zhukovsky street. She sat with the Chairman of our Yazidi community and talked about something of her own. Then I came. Elena Valerievna presented the Museum. I became interested, and I suggested: why not make it so that the boxer leads the tour? Considering I'm close to history. It was not a joke on my part, but a very serious proposal. Then Elena Valerievna didn't let go. But I was glad myself. We agreed on a specific date: it was very difficult to choose, because I have a very heavy load.

Why am I interested? If only because I will dive into this story and I will know all this myself — those moments that were previously unknown to me. This applies to information about the military who took part in Chechnya, in Afghanistan. And the entire history since the First World War. I am interested in everything: what events took place, how the residents of Zaeltsovsky district participated in this. I live in the area myself. And I would be ashamed if I was asked questions about the area, and I didn't know the answer to them. I don't think it should be. It is the same as not knowing the history of your people or your country. When asked questions about my nationality, I will answer each. It should be like that!

— When did you start working, preparing for the tour? And what is this preparation?

— It happened a month and a half ago. Elena Valerievna tells me everything about the history of the district. Gives the text  which I'm reading. I have to come here from time to time with the text that I have read, and live to watch the items, certain things that I will talk about to have a General picture. We started with the fact that Elena Valerievna told me about the exhibits in each room. Told the story: how Zayeltsovsky district started to live, how people came here. As a result, in 1940 Zayeltsovsky district was formed. Now I am studying the text, and then I will come before the tour and visualize in the Museum. If I am asked a question to which I do not know the answer, I will ask for help from Elena Valerievna. I think it will be connected. I hope to keep the attention of the public for an hour.

— And what from history of the Zaeltsovsky area struck you?

— Of course, I will begin my story with the birth of the Zaeltsovsky district: what enterprises were built here, how the district was formed, how the population increased. For me the most interesting is history of participants of the wars: Novosibirsk, which participated in Chechen campaign, in Afghanistan. This is also going to tell you. I think our guests will form their opinion: why was this or that war necessary for the country and why our soldiers died and gave their lives? I have my own opinion on this, and I will answer each question very convincingly.

And I was struck by the history of the Foundation of the Zaeltsovsky district. After all, the first was built by the military bread factory. I thought: why a sugar mill? It appeared, it was under construction to the Russian-Japanese war in 1903 and on it prepared crackers. During the First World War, its products have lost their relevance. But at the time when it was built, we needed workers, engineers. They were brought here on purpose. These people stayed here for a long time, and over time they formed our area, the population increased. Before the main date — 1940 — the area was already formed. I wonder myself was the formation of the Zaeltsovsky district.

— And it was difficult to reincarnate and enter the role of a guide? Who did you look up to?

— I will be like Lenin (smiles). But to be such a great speaker, you need to be able to communicate with the people and be close to your audience. No matter what level you climb, for example, in sports, because in life we are all the same. It is necessary to throw all pathos aside and to tell about history of our area. And I honed public speaking at school on teachers.

Athletes, when they reach the highest Olympic level, become leaders. People usually follow leaders: they are interested in listening to a person who is successful in his or her activity. I think I will be asked a lot of questions not only about the tour, but also about my career. This will be an excuse to come on a tour and get information. Not everyone will initially be interested in the tour itself, but I will awaken the interest of the audience. I will tell you my personal example: a year ago there was an event on Lenin square, charging was carried out. And as an example, we, the athletes, and several members of the Olympians started in the Opera house, started in backstage. Alexander Alexandrovich Karelin took us there, who told us the history of the Opera house in a very technical and beautiful way. There should be more of these people, so that people know that athletes are more developed — intellectually, sportively and spiritually.

— Misha, there is an opinion that boxers are stupid people. How do you fight this stereotype?

— This is not true: athletes have always been intellectually developed people. I will tell about boxers: why it is like that? Let's take any member of the Boxing team: we are all quite modest guys. And educated. But when the camera turns on, the excitement begins, somewhere the words are confused. From here people have a feeling that boxers do not know how to speak and that they are stupid. But in reality the opposite is true. And I want to present the boxers from the other side. All speak: "Why these athletes climb in deputies? “Yes, because athletes are able to navigate the course of action and adapt to a particular kind of activity in sports and in other industries. I am told: "And what you will do after sports?" I say, 'I'll find something to do! “I’m told, 'What if it doesn't work? "I say, "If in Boxing happened, then another thing happens! “I’m not worried at all. And any member of the Russian Boxing team, I think, will answer you in the same way. Champion character is that if something is taken, then it should be done well!

Elena Makarova, Director of the Museum "Zelcova" also expressed his opinion about the initiative sportsmen-Yazidi:

— History is an important, basic component of patriotism that underlies it. And I am certainly grateful to Misha for the fact that he demonstrates and confirms by his personal example that history is important, it is interesting. That you need to love the place where you live, know its history and do everything possible to make this place better.

Thus, Mikhail Aloyan with his initiatives only exposes that Yazidis are a multi-talented people and at every opportunity seek to help the country in which they live.
