According to Johns Hopkins University, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world has reached 7.9 million people.

The total number of detected cases of coronavirus infection worldwide on the morning of June 15 increased by 105,621 and amounted to 7,690,708 people, 427,630 died, according to the website of the world health organization (who).

The most cases of infection were registered in North and South America – 3,711,768, followed by Europe – 2,398,779. Over the past 24 hours, 137,526 new cases of COVID-19 infection and 4,281 deaths have been detected worldwide.

At the same time, Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from Federal and local authorities, as well as media and other sources in individual States, reports 7,899,547 identified cases and 433,119 deaths.

On March 11, the world health organization declared the outbreak of a new COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic.

Coronavirus in Georgia

According to the latest data published on the government website StopCov.ge, in Georgia, COVID-19 was diagnosed in 864 people. Three Georgian citizens were taken for treatment from other countries, 703 patients recovered, and 14 died.

By this time, there are 2,795 people in quarantine, and 252 in hospitals under medical supervision.
