The state has determined the cost of conducting a PCR test in private clinics. According to the head of the National center for disease control Amiran Gamkrelidze, answering the question "IPN", the cost of a coronavirus test using PCR technology without taking a sample will be 150 gel. If the state passes the test to a private clinic, the price will be reduced by 100 gel.

According to him, the corresponding change will be officially reflected in the government's resolution, presumably tomorrow.

"As part of the state program, testing in state clinics, of course, costs nothing for the population, it is completely free. What we do is fully paid for by the state.

Today, the Ministry sent a new resolution to the government, that is, a change in the resolution that defines the tariff. As far as I know, this rate is within 150 gel, but without taking a sample, only laboratory tests. However, if the state gives the test to a private clinic, 100 gel will be deducted. 50 lari will be used for services, salary payments, etc. This is a tariff set by the state, and I hope that tomorrow it will be officially set, " Amiran Gamkrelidze said.

According to him, today 11 laboratories take part in testing. Hence, there are 4 state laboratories, of which three belong to the center for disease control.
