Bartella is one of Ninawa Plain’s districts, faces Corona virus with precautionary and awareness measures to avoid infection, and to keep people safe.
In this regard, the activist Hussein Ali spoke to “Ezidi 24”, saying “the civilian defense and the sub-district administrator, and in cooperation with some local organizations, sterilised the state directorates, institutions, schools, and public places, and there is curfew in the area in order to keep citizens safe from infection with Corona virus during mixing or the existence of groupings”
“There are some calls from a number of activists and youth to raise donations to provide enough funds to sterilize the area in the coming days, but so far there is no actual work on the ground to raise donations, and it may happen in the coming days”, he added.
In the same context, the activist “Ali Qasem” spoke to “Ezedi 24”, saying “the situation in Bartella is semi-stable now, after declaring the curfew, But there was a problem, which citizens showed, which is that there is a great interest in buying food and storing it in homes for fear of deteriorating conditions more than they are, this fear by the citizens, and this behavior has negatively affected the general situation in the area, where prices started to rise and become more expensive.”
“The beautiful thing that happened was, the coming out group of university students by distributing awareness-raising brochures, after they saw the spread of fear of Corona virus, and its negative effects on economic and social … Etc, It has a negative impact on people, and they have carried out this awareness campaign to calm and reassure people, as well as, we as the Nineveh plain Youth Association, will also undertake an awareness campaign and help people in what we can”, he added.
