Meeting of the Spiritual Council of Yazidis of Georgia with representatives of the Evangelical Church of Germany: prospects of friendship and co-operation

Yasterday at the residence of the Spiritual Council of Yazidis Akhtiyar of Georgia Pir Dima and Sheikh Nuri Shehnamati received a delegation of the Evangelical Church of Germany headed by Deacon Frieder Loebe.

The meeting was of an introductory nature. The sides touched upon the history of Yazidi Christian relations, the history of the Yazidi community in Georgia and the post-Soviet space, as well as the Yazidi diaspora in Germany, which is currently the largest. The sides expressed hope for deepening of friendly relations between the communities.
