Yazidis of Georgia celebrated "E'yda Çarşema Sersalê"

Today, Yazidis all over the world celebrate E'yda Çarşema Sersalê, an ancient Yazidi festival associated with the beginning of the new year.

A solemn ceremony was held at the Koba Sultan Ezid Yazidi Temple in Tbilisi to mark the holiday. The heads of clergy, Sheh Nuri, Pir Dima, Sheh Temur, Pir Zaur and Sheh Mraz performed a religious ritual, blessing all Yazidis and wishing them all the best and soonest peace in the world.

After the religious ritual, the guests were invited to the hall of the Cultural Centre of the Temple, where they were served with coloured eggs and sweets to mark the E'yda Çarşema Sersalê.

Finally, the Ezdixan children's dance ensemble performed Yazidi folk dances for the guests.
